Maharashtra resident doctors call off strike

Resident doctors in Maharashtra called off their strike on Tuesday following an assurance from the state government to create more positions of senior residents and better hostel facilities. The two-day-long strike had a minimal impact on health services and more so on the second day when outpatient services and surgeries nearly normalised.
