Boy dies as e-scooter battery explodes at home

A seven-year-old boy, who suffered serious burns after the battery of his father's electric scooter charging in their living room in Vasai exploded on September 23, succumbed to injuries on Friday. Police said overheating of the battery could have caused the explosion and subsequent fire in the house.
