Mumbai: Vegetable rates scale Rs 100-120 per kg adding to families' inflationary burden

The demon of food inflation is rapidly widening its jaws to engulf even well-to-do households. As the common man struggles with the backbreaking increase in LPG, fuel and electricity tariff all in one month, the retail price of vegetables has shot to Rs 100-120 per kilo -- even Rs 160 in certain cases.
