August Kranti to get a makeover in 80th year of Quit India movement

South Mumbai's historic August Kranti Maidan was where Mahatma Gandhi had given the call for the Quit India movement on August 8, 1942. Eighty years on, a fortnight ago, the BMC began to revamp the space and is looking at unifying its grounds currently separated by all kinds of partition grills. One of these grounds is being used by children to play cricket and football.
