Mumbai crosses 5k covid cases a day, state 30k

The second wave of Covid-19 in Maharashtra resulted in the highest-ever number of cases in a single day—31,855—on Wednesday. Mumbai mirrored the trend with an unprecedented daily tally of 5,190, albeit against a record 40,400 tests.
