BMC to float Rs 4,000cr municipal infra bonds

Facing a cash crunch amid falling revenues and increased Covid spending, the BMC will soon float ‘Municipal Infrastructure Bonds’ to raise money from the market to pay for big-ticket infrastructure projects after two years. The BMC, Asia’s richest civic body, is expecting to raise Rs 3,000-Rs 4,000 crore.
