BJP bags 16, Shiv Sena 14 of Mumbai’s 36 seats

The BJP won 16 of the total 36 assembly seats in Mumbai while the Sena annexed 14. The Congress won 4 and NCP and SP one each. The BJP also bagged 12 of the 24 assembly seats in the Mumbai region (MMR) against the Sena’s five. The city results could impact the 2022 BMC elections, said political observers.
