Kurla: 20-year-old acquitted of raping mother

A 20-year-old Kurla youth, accused of raping his mother last year, was acquitted by the sessions court this week, after the 40-year-old woman did not support the prosecution’s case. Denying that her drunk son had raped her, the widow told court he had become aggressive after an argument, and with no male family member to control him, she complained to police. The court held that her medical reports did not support the prosecution case that she was raped.
